Resize Image to KB
Hit an exact file size — 20KB, 50KB, 100KB.
Compress a photo down to an exact file size — 20KB, 50KB, 100KB, 200KB — instead of guessing with a quality slider. Built for government exam and job application forms (SSC, UPSC, IBPS, NEET, railway and state PSC portals) that reject any upload above a fixed size limit.
Quality is lowered first; if that isn't enough the image is scaled down until it fits. Output is always JPG.
Processed entirely in your browser — never uploaded.
Supported formats
Accepts JPG, PNG and WEBP. Output is JPG, since JPG gives the finest control over file size at a given resolution.
Things to know
Very aggressive targets (a detailed photo squeezed under 20KB) will visibly soften the image — that's a physical limit of the format, not a tool bug. If the result is too blurry, reduce the pixel dimensions first with Image Resizer, then compress. The tool lands close to your target, usually just under it, because JPG size can't be dialled to an exact byte.
How your data is handled
Compression runs entirely in your browser on a canvas — your photo is never uploaded to any server.
